Dr. Pedro A. Sanchez

Personal Bio:

Dr. Pedro Alejandro Sanchez (Alex) was born in Havana, Cuba in 1957 during the middle of a revolution which resulted in Fidel Castro taking power in 1959. His father fought against Castro and was taken as a political prisoner. Sanchez escapes Cuba with his mother in 1962, thanks to, what was then known, as Peter Pan Flights. His father escaped execution and joined him and his mother in 1964. Sanchez grew up in Hialeah, Florida and attended Hialeah Miami Lakes senior high. While he was a young teenage boy, Dr Sanchez would visit his uncle, who was a physician and professor at Baylor College of Medicine. This gave him an early exposure to medicine and knew at an early age that he wanted to follow in his uncle’s footsteps and become a physician.  At the age of 18, Sanchez moved to Houston to attend college. During this time, he worked in several hospitals doing multiple technical jobs. In 1980, Sanchez returned to Florida to finish his bachelors in Marine Biology at Florida International University. He then attended Southeastern college of osteopathic medicine graduating with a D.O. Degree in 1989. Since obtaining his degree, Sanchez has a been in private practice as a board certified family practitioner in Palm Beach County. His philosophy is to always be a patient advocate, putting their needs above all. He feels honored to be trusted with peoples health and will never violate that gift.
